Friday, September 25th, 2009

A brand new internet social networking service has been unveiled by Vodafone this week, in a move that aims to attract mobile web users across a host of major networks. ‘Vodafone 360’ is targeted at revolutionising social networking on mobiles, acting as an aggregator to sync contacts from your phone, email and social network sites.

By synchronising contact information from major networking sites such as Facebook, Windows Messenger and Google Talk, users of the new ‘360’ service will be able to converge all of their contacts in one domain. The package is soon set to include growing social network giant, Twitter as one of its associates.

The effect of this impressive address book will impress a number of mobile phone users that have limited time or access to the internet on the move. Vodafone has also revealed that it is intending on stealing a march on its competitors by opening the service up to all major UK networks and over 100 compatible handsets.
