First impressions of the new HTC Legend suggest that this latest Android 2.1 powered device will be the ultimate successor to the HTC Hero that has proved to be a smartphone success in the consumer market. With HTC pushing hard to encourage its portfolio into the mainstream area of the market, the sleek, curvy design of the HTC Legend will turn more than a few heads.
The lightweight aluminium shell of the handset creates a design and feels reminiscent to that of the Apple MacBook Pro. However, there are still remnants of the successful HTC Hero design, with the unforgettable ‘chin’ still present.
As the phone is integrated with the latest Android 2.1 software, the HTC Legend is fully controllable via voice, supports multi-touch usage and its upgrade of RAM from 288MB to 384MB will enable users to use a significant number of applications simultaneously.

The latest in a long line of HTC smartphones has been leaked to the mobile industry with the HTC Trophy presented as a revamped version of the Snap mobile handset. Powered by the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, the HTC Trophy draws similarities to BlackBerry devices with its 3” touchscreen complemented by an expansive QWERTY keyboard.
It is an ultra-thin smartphone at just 11mm in depth which sees it labelled as one of the latest Candybar handsets of the ilk of the iPhone 3GS. As with all of the latest smartphones, the HTC Trophy will arrive complete with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, including a mid-range 5.0 megapixel digital camera.
Despite being powered by Windows Mobile 6.5, HTC has implemented its very own TouchFlo 3D interface to improve the look and feel of the handset, as very few Windows Mobile 6.5 mobile phones have fully succeeded in the market.

It has been in the pipeline for a number of months but Google finally appears to be making noises regarding the production of its very own smartphone. There appears to be significant potential for a Google-produced smartphone, with the ability to realistically rival the much vaunted Apple iPhone.
With its very own mobile phone and mobile phone accessories, Google appears keen to strengthen its grip on the internet and how consumers surf and access their information. Google is expected to unveil the Nexus One on Tuesday, the first smartphone designed by the company’s own engineers.
The ambition and vision of Google will excite and enhance the wireless market. Google insists consumers have “only seen the beginning of what is possible” in the global wireless market – citing the release of its very own Android operating system for use in smartphones towards the end of 2007.

We’ll keep you posted on the developments.
In the mean time why not update your current mobile phone by purchasing mobile phone accessories that can extend the use of your mobile phone. If you are constantly on the move why not install a mobile phone car kit or Bluetooth device.
